too bland to bear

Gosh, this picture is so bland I can just about bring myself to post it. I was going to do a bit more work on it but it was boring me too much. I actually feel sorry for the this little guy!

By the way, it's a hedgehog made from sticks and pine-coney type stuff.

Boring? Ethel's adorable. I named her Ethel, she looks like an Ethel. Ethel the Hedgehog. And I linked to you. I love your drawings.

Aw, but the boring bear is so cute. Bear rhymes better than hedgehog. It is cute and I'm glad you posted him.

I was *SO* excited when I saw my first real hedgehog that I probably traumatized the poor thing. We don't have anything quite that adorable in California.

Ok, he's entirely too cute!

Where's the boring part? Can you point it out to me?! Love the pine-coney things that make up his coat. Those are not boring -- they are really 3D-like. I think you might have hated the repetitiveness of the task. But i, as with everything you do, am a fan.

I thought you might be too hard on yourself before....I know you are too hard on yourself now! I love this little guy. Actually, make that LOVE in caps. The texture is great. His face, and it's lack of detail, is great as well.

oh but he's (Ethel? he?) wonderful! Such a beautiful detailed drawing ... you're right, it's just NOT fair! :)

Well, wow! Thank you all.

This is the mad thing about showing your work - the pieces you slave over and think are masterpieces(!!) people seem quite indifferent to. Then there's drawings like this one that you cringe about posting - and they get this kind of response????! I just don't understand it!

So are there hedgehogs in the US? I'd never thought about it before. They are SO cute - it's true! One evening a while back I came home to find one on the doorstep. Aaaaw, I just melted. I wanted to bring it inside for the night, let it sleep by the fire, maybe a saucer of milk....somebody stop me!

Cheers guys for your comments. I appreciate them!

She's ADORABLE!! I agree, it think it was the repetitiveness in all those wonderful pine cone scales that bored you, this drawing is anything BUT boring!!
I've never seen a live one, but I'd be right along with you wanting to give it a warm spot and some food and drink.
